Tottenham
on Saturday, February 10 moved to third position on the Premier League
standings after beating rivals Arsenal 1-0 in a tough Premier League
encounter at the Wembley Stadium.
The Gunners
were completely taught a good football lesson by Tottenham who started
the match impressive in front of their faithfuls.
But no goal was recorded in the first half as both sides went into the first half break goalless.
On resumption for the second half, Tottenham
changed their style of play which eventually paid off in the 49th minute
when Davies Ben provided as assist for Harry Kane to score with an
header.
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech was helpless as the former Chelsea stopper had no answer for Harry Kane's superb header.
Nigerian international Alex Iwobi came in the
second half and made superb moves before his wings were clipped by
Tottenham defenders.
Alexandre Lacazette was also superbly set up at the death, but he was ruled off side by the center referee.
Mesut
Ozil late minute free-kick which many Arsenal fans thought would result
to a goal was blocked by Tottenham players who won the match 1-0.
