- The Chilean made a move to United from Arsenal and he is now the highest paid in England
Chilean
striker Alexis Sanchez has finally revealed the reason that
masterminded his decision to have left Premier League club Arsenal for a
move to rivals Manchester United.
Sanchez is now the current highest paid Premier League player with £500,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford.
However,
the former Barcelona man insists his move to Old Trafford was not
motivated by money and instead because of his desire to improve and win
silverware.
In an interview with Gunners legend Thierry Henry on Sky Sports, Sanchez opened up on his decision to quit the Emirates.
"I
think about Manchester United since I was young and I'm not just saying
this because I'm here, I'm an honest guy and I never lie. I think it's
the biggest club in England. That's what I think.
"There are lots of big clubs and having played for Arsenal, they are also one of them. It's a huge club and I was there.
"But
coming here, looking at the badge, I think United have to win
everything because it's such a big club. The club crest says it all.
"I came here to win things. I left Arsenal because I wanted to develop and learn as a player, and get to experience a new club.
"Manchester United is a huge club on the global stage. I came here to win everything. Otherwise I wouldn't have come here." Sanchez explained.
Since the former Barcelona man got to Manchester
United, he has been staying at the Lowry hotel which is the permanent
residence of the Red Devils' coach Jose Mourinho.
Alexis
Sanchez has made his debut for Manchester United in their 4-0 FA Cup
win over Yeovil and was subsequently named man of the match.
